Divorce
It is a staggering fact that today 40% of marriages will end in Divorce

Luckily, Divorce proceedings can be very straightforward and in the majority of cases no court attendance is required. An uncontested Divorce could be completed within 4-5 months. For contested or more complicated Divorce proceedings the process may take longer.

When parties separate, financial arrangements will need to be resolved and finalised. This covers various issues like who should remain in the matrimonial home; what level of maintenance should be paid to each party and the children and how the assets should be divided.

Even if you have reached an amicable agreement, that agreement should be incorporated into a formal court document known as a Consent Order. Where a financial settlement cannot be reached, either party can make a formal application to the Court for Ancillary Relief.

At Harrison Clark we aim to make the divorce process as painless as possible for you. We have a large team of experienced divorce and ancillary relief specialists who will be pleased to assist you in resolving all aspects of your divorce.
